The Uganda Prisons Service has announced a Shs10 million (about $2,600) reward for information leading to the arrest of fugitive prison warder Anguyo Moses, the prime suspect in a fatal shooting at Kiboga Central Prison that left four people dead. The transitional government of Mali on Thursday inaugurated a new military camp in Kita, aimed at reinforcing the presence of the Malian Armed Forces in the region and enhancing security for local populations. In a statement on Wednesday, NAPTIP Director-General, Binta Adamu Bello, disclosed that the rescue operation was carried out in collaboration with authorities in Myanmar, with critical support from the British Government and the Nigerian Embassy in Bangkok. The United States government will deploy 200 troops to Nigeria to train its armed forces and strengthen the country’s fight against insecurity. Nigerian and U.S. officials made the announcement to reporters on Tuesday.
