Monrovia, Liberia – The Liberia National Police (LNP) has arrested and formally charged a 26-year-old Liberian journalist, Miss Amie T. Dean, for allegedly fabricating a kidnapping incident that briefly sparked public concern. According to police, Miss Dean— a resident of Paynesville City—has been charged with False Statement and False Report to Law Enforcement Officials, in violation of Chapters 12.31 and 12.33 of Liberia’s Revised Penal Code.
